Al-Bayaan Academy
These terms apply to the online lessons provided by Al-Bayaan Academy. For minors, the parent or legal guardian is responsible for enrolment, payment, and communication.
For enquiries, use the contact form on our website or WhatsApp: +31 6 313 67660. Lesson cancellations must be reported through WhatsApp as specified below.
1. Enrolment and termination
Enrol through WhatsApp, email, or the website registration form. Before enrolment is finalised, you will receive the programme, schedule, fees, payment arrangements, and these terms. The agreement is confirmed once these arrangements are accepted and Al-Bayaan Academy confirms enrolment through WhatsApp or email.
You may end the agreement with one month’s notice from the date notice is given. If you stop lessons and notify us less than 24 hours before a scheduled lesson, that lesson is charged in full.
2. Payment
Payment is monthly unless advance payment for several months is agreed. Invoices are sent through WhatsApp or email and are payable within seven days of receipt. For group lessons, the first four-week period must be paid within seven days of registration.
3. Attendance, lateness, and absence
Attend regularly, arrive on time, and participate. If you will be more than five minutes late, notify the teacher in writing. Late arrival shortens the lesson; missed time is not extended, made up, or refunded.
Requests to change a lesson time must be sent to both the teacher and administration at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, the original lesson remains fully payable, without entitlement to a time change.
For private and duo lessons, the teacher waits in the virtual classroom for 20 minutes. If the student has not arrived, the teacher leaves and the full fee applies, without a make-up lesson.
Internet or device problems preventing attendance must be reported at least 24 hours beforehand; otherwise, the full lesson fee applies.
4. Private-lesson cancellations
Notify the administration in writing through WhatsApp.
At least 24 hours’ notice: the lesson must be made up within eight days.
Less than 24 hours’ notice: a half-length make-up lesson applies, subject to the six-hour rule below.
Six hours or less before the lesson: the full fee applies, without a make-up lesson.
Less than four hours before the lesson: also notify the teacher through the WhatsApp lesson group.
For sudden illness preventing timely cancellation, notify us before 10:00 a.m. For morning lessons, cancellation must be received before 8:00 p.m. the previous day.
The monthly allowance for cancellations with a valid reason depends on the weekly lesson schedule. For example, two lessons per week allow two such cancellations per month. Beyond the allowance, make-up lessons are half-length, subject to the six-hour rule. Cancellations do not entitle the student to financial compensation.
5. Duo-lesson cancellations
With at least 24 hours’ notice, a make-up lesson is possible. With less notice, there is no refund or make-up lesson. If one student cancels but the other wishes to attend, the lesson cannot be rescheduled.
6. Group lessons
Group lessons have three or more students. Missed lessons are not refunded or made up, and late arrival does not extend the lesson.
If the teacher is unavailable, a replacement teacher, rescheduled lesson, or extra time added to one or more regular lessons may be arranged. Absence from a make-up lesson does not entitle the student to financial compensation.
If withdrawals leave only two students, a small price increase may be agreed by mutual consent.
7. Teacher cancellations
If a teacher cannot teach due to illness or another important reason, the lesson is rescheduled by agreement. Postponement does not entitle the student to a refund. Report any lesson that ends earlier than scheduled to the teacher and/or administration immediately.
8. Holidays and temporary breaks
Holidays are not charged, provided the administration is informed of their start and duration at least one week in advance.
9. Tests
Marking a test costs €7 per test.
10. Changes
Al-Bayaan Academy may change these terms, including for existing agreements. Changing lesson type or frequency does not require re-enrolment; these terms continue to apply.
Al-Bayaan Academy may also:
Adjust prices after a calendar year.
Update course programmes during a course to reflect examination requirements or improve quality.
Reduce the number of group-course sessions in the event of cancellations, while keeping the course content and price unchanged.
